Here is some neat Auto Insurance news I just read about and thought I would share. The Auto Insurance industry is FINALLY starting to make some improvements in technology that may take them out of the dark ages and make it easier to use, and maybe eventually buy, auto insurance!
The state of California has passed a bill allowing the use of Cell Phones and Mobile devices to provide proof of insurance instead of having to carry the BS little card in the car and face a big fine if you can’t find it!
Note though that this was NOT an initiative of the insurance industry but an initiative of the State of Califonia.
I just hope they can automate the rest of the Auto Insurance industry. The entire processs is to antiquidated.
Wouldn’t it be nice to buy your insurance on Amazon.com or at Wal-mart. Just scan your drivers license, pick out your options from a drop down list and check out!
